Rain Rain 03:12
Chorus Rain rain please don't go away / wash away the pain and make it clean for me to play / Rain rain please don't go away / wash away the pain and make it clean for me to play Verse The last couple of days have been more than kinda sorta hot / trying find a job but really its trying to find a boss I wont tell to suck my cock when he tries to go off / my applications steadily met with call you backs and so longs / the sweats hanging by a thread to the end of my lash / yeah / I'm walking but he's begging for gas / homie – I know its sunny but the weather will pass / free at last free at last hold fast to the dream / only slave to a breeze and shade captured in trees / now the gutters need a drink to go half with the piss / not really a fix / all we ask is a rinse / Mrs. Rain! The summer heat has the villagers tense / without you tender love I even pity the bricks though they try and get even through the feet of the kids / so we cease and desist slowing our daily motives til the thermometer pops have met their quarterly quotient Chorus Rain rain please don't go away / wash away the pain and make it clean for me to play / Rain rain please don't go away / wash away the pain and make it clean for me to play Verse Rain – mirror the streets and make the surface kiss the sky / gimme twinkling lights the roads prettiest at night / the weakest cars peel out and the best brakes slide / dare devil sees perfect and my ex may cry / because she doesn't like the rain nor the next best guy / but the children love the rain they love to dance in it / and mama earth spins pirouettes if they cant finish / the echo leaves shores / devoid of all fishes / they swim to the deep and grab sea weed and kick it, I mean fin it – get it / LISTEN / potato wedges are sizzlin' in the kitchen / my bad the awnings were yawnin' because they're tired / in need of lullabies so tin roofs were hired / the bodies of water can't handle gettin' any dryer / enduring peak heat trudgin' along knees weak look up and then she pours awakening for a deep sleep like! Chorus Rain rain please don't go away / wash away the pain and make it clean for me to play / Rain rain please don't go away / wash away the pain and make it clean for me to play

about

A SUMMER JAM – gone END OF SUMMER JAM

I have to start there, simply because if ever there were a soul who had an ambition problem that was the inverse of most people it would be me (that is Saint Tellah presently at your service). Trying to over extend and over extend - So a “Summer Jam” album had to take a back seat and become an “End of Summer Jam”.

Look at glasses - then look in the mirror - then realize all the things you love and hate about yourself, then look at the world and see all of the things you love and hate about the world. Those are your glasses. Even if you were never prescribed glasses they are steadfast attached to your mind. This is a lot deeper concept than I am going to get into, but you can do research and find all sorts of studies that corroborate the fact that every facet of your life til now colors the way that you perceive the world.

In writing our music, normally I try and show you the world through my eyes - but my eyes normally have a very dismal lens, sometimes just an outright exciting lens, or maybe even eccentric… For this album for this summer jam, I have tried to put on a pair of glasses and write very diligently with those glasses attached to my face, and mind. The glasses? Florida, Summer, Love, and Life… So even the two ‘tougher’ songs on here, are grained with the sepia toned lens of a Florida yellow light evening. I pray that with this little ditty, you all see how beautiful this world can be, and really just take a minute and love yourself, and know that at least these artists love you. And we love your minds and spirits and we want them to prosper and grow and be the most self-sustaining, content, happy universes in existence. Thank you for your time- with no further ado

Saint Tellah would like to thank:
