about

When EYE-Q hit me up to do this track, I was stoked, I fell in love with the direction and I knew I had to do something meaning full. Then reality struck me in the face and I realized that I am not qualified to tell people how to get a better way through. I don’t know the answers; my shit has been trial and mostly error, so how the hell can I tell people what the right way is? Bing* I can’t tell people what the right way is, but I can tell them in my own way that its okay to try and fail, that as long as you fight the good fight and try your best then you’ve done as much as anyone can expect of you- even yourself.

lyrics

Verse 1
I ain’t the best but, I’m better than most and,/I can get that crowd waving like the Indian Ocean,/Get a tsunami of poonani wanna be up on me,/ But I got a girl I wanna make my wife and not just my baby-mami,/A lot of rappers seem to barter their soul,/Guess that’s why they say they’re hot with a moderate flow,/This next line will in no way be subtle,
Your lyrics are lame, let me sell you a couple,/‘Cause when it comes to my lines, you’re color blind---you can’t match it,/That’s why I’m reeking havoc with a machete and a hatchet,/Took the road less traveled than the one that’s trampled upon,/
Stepped off the path, cut the branches ‘til I got a cramp in my arm,/ Set the world on fire just so I can watch what happens,/ And laugh at reactions to my passive-aggressive passion,/Couldn’t decide between the red pill or the blue one,/Searching for a better way, so, I cooked me up a new one

Verse 2
Over and under then through the village I/ see the way of the world and what its coming to/ remember back in the day when I was a little guy/ evil weasled its way in, I was a troubled youth/ daddy ditchin’ and dippin’ until I was five/ then he came and he went and that wasn’t nothing new/ started sniffing thighs/ inseminated a wife/ he didn’t father his first and he left my uncles to/ I swore I’d never do the same and live a simpler life/ and if I ever had a fam’ we’d never come unglued/ I had love in my heart so I tried really hard/
A bubbling life promise she knew and didn’t care/ so playing the part she told lies all the time/ I had love in my heart and played the fool/ till I couldn’t igore/ the war lonely nights and the scent of a whore/ and quick fast tore my family like I did it before/
