The spring time of 2011 was an awful time that made you really question the possibility of the water supplies just straight running out. Its easy to think that just because you are a peninsula, and water is everywhere, that water will be where it needs to be when it needs to be there. I went for a hike through Paynes Prairie with my roommate, and a couple of other friends , and I was greatly saddened to see so little life flow, so little water and so many barren riverbeds… it was sad to be sure. I had also been trying to get a job- getting a job in the summer is funny especially with no car, and only your feet to carry you, because now you have to hope that whoever is interviewing you (if you get that far) or talking to you, or just generally greeting you, is not judging you based upon the uncontrollable heat you had just been through. Which geared up the sweating that you knew would be unsavory to any respectable member of any decent establishment. So you know- lets all give the rain a hug n' shit.
