about

This beat was sooo ridiculous. When I first heard it I ws so excited, it’s a heavy, heavy beat with a triumphant bridge that harkens of a victory anthem. It made me think really hard about how I should approach the song. In the beginning talking about ‘her’ as I ‘hop up in the middle of a tender instrumental’… I kind of painted a way for the universe to allow me to further address this terrific backdrop that harkened of knight tales of old. Most of the imagery is aimed at that combatant mentality in a noble sense and that’s where the song is written from. The chorus was actually an afterthought. I thought it was campy at first to talk about ‘scrolls’ but the more I reflected on it the more it just seemed to fit and reassure me that I have an imagination that can put me in these epic scenes and let me have fun. The ‘full house’ reference is just regarding teams’ that most other “teams” or crews, have a wad of people, but we’ve got the ones that matter.

lyrics

Verse 1
So lemme hop up in the middle of a tender instrumental/ and put it behind bars judge jury no acquittal/ then I gave her heavy flow at least more than a little/ fickle trickle of soul/ it was cold but the temperature rose/ Saint Tellah trying ta make a name with piss in the snow/ champagne with a vinegar nose cristined the boat/ with my middle name Christopher CO/ iller than most listen the gulp that’s my foes with a dick in the throat/ Kung fu like po/ deliver crippling blows/ every time I spit shine the adrenaline flows/ if my rhymes had a smell it’d bare the scent of a rose/ with blood sweat tears coconut and cinnamon notes/ Drive- like I rented the road/ rhyme like I invented the flow/ telling myself lies cause I try to be simple and don’t/ succeed at ever saying a damn thing in terms for lamens’/ I could walk and catch you as if my name was Jason

Chorus
2x
Hooo! The planet could stay dark/ damnit we play hard and safe guard the scrolls commanding a braves heart/ stay sharp O N E hit the track and make sparks we’ve both gotta full house we’re playing the face cards - RAH

Verse 2
I had to take it back to flavor blasts from my fa-vo-rite snacks/ paper backs ‘lord of the flies’, bugle boys , and tapered slacks/ prize pupil grade the math/ stayed the path and found the finish/ made a blast without the gimmick/ and I’m always down to rip it and my steeze a mile a minute/ squared and energy’s kinetic/ I;m not bound by laws of physics/ stare and witness the majestic/ headless horse man eating breakfast toast and texas birthed my ego/ then my ego hopped a steam boat to catch up with my dick head/ drank creation through my ears and now I’m known to piss fresh/ Princess, ya’ll birthing styles off incest/ plastic rappers autta try some semtex/ -text traffic and a slurpy gas and tragedies occurring/ lifeless garbage is beating and now the galaxy is burning/ and I’m proud to be dis-tur-bed/ but your majesty I’m nervous/ all reclusive and a hermit/ I’m tank but not a ‘sherman’ / saints an Abrahams blastin’ A1 with a fifty cal of Cajun- spices.

Chorus
2x
Hooo! The planet could stay dark / damnit we play hard and safe guard the scrolls commanding a braves heart / stay sharp O N E hit the track and make sparks we’ve both gotta full house we’re playing the face cards – RAH
